A poncho. How quaint.
You know, children are good for knitting. They're small, which means everything you make takes a lot less time than if you were knitting for an adult. My husband, who wears an XL, hasn't yet gotten anything knitted by me. But Kit gets decked out in all sorts of experiments. Here's the poncho I knitted her last summer, including a closeup of the fringe, which I'm particularly proud of.
